Our Charities

Dublin Pride Run has raised over €186,000 for LGBTQ+ charities to date since our first 5k Run in 2012.

We’re looking forward to raising as much as we can for this year’s chosen charities, and we need your help.

The LGBT Champions Programme vision is for every LGBTQI+ older person to enjoy equality of access and experience to health, care and support services in Ireland.

The LGBT Champions Programme is a social innovation that delivers training and resources to make health, care and support services for older people LGBTQI+ friendly.

The programme develops confidence, competence and commitment in health and social care practitioners (HCP, SCP) Champions which supports them to drive change in their service to transform the care experience of older LGBTQI+ people to one of inclusion, equality, respect and dignity.

The programme approach is to build on the professional knowledge, skills and attitudes of HCPs/SCPs by placing this expertise at the heart of the learning and Championing process. Our role is to provide training to help them to understand how their skills relate to LGBTQI+ people and, after the training, to act as an on-going knowledge and networking resource to the Champions.

To date, we have trained over 300 LGBT Champions and our waiting list for training continues to grow.

ShoutOut is a registered charity harnessing education to promote inclusion and equality for the LGBTQ+ community.

We empower LGBTQ+ people and work to build networks of informed allies who will work alongside the LGBTQ+ community, to ensure their rights are protected. We do this by developing educational programmes on LGBTQ+ issues and delivering them to school students, teachers, youth workers, parents and guardians, higher education institutions, community groups, sports organisations and workplaces.

Since 2012 we've been delivering workshops in secondary schools across the island of Ireland which tackle LGBTQ+ bullying, and we've completed over 2,250 student workshops. That means we’ve spoken directly to over 67,500 students! We use our on-the-ground experience of speaking with young people to inform all of our training modules.

Sanctuary Runners is a solidarity-through-sport initiative which uses running, jogging and walking to bring together asylum seekers, refugees, migrants and all Irish residents.

With groups across Ireland we are currently expanding internationally. Our model allows communities to get to know each other, fosters community integration and improves physical and mental health.

As a non-political group that focuses on positive action, we operate under the principles of solidarity, friendship and respect. We do not aim to be the fastest running team in the world……but definitely the friendliest!

Our vision is for a more inclusive, integrated and equal society where the benefits of multiculturalism are clearly understood and valued and that community integration is properly understood, valued and championed.

Our mission is to become bridge builders, in Ireland and internationally, by using running, jogging, walking groups and events to bring people together, including, and especially, asylum seekers, refugees and migrants. By building and creating these opportunities in an equal and respectful way it will enable people to develop friendships, networks and learn from each other.
